Dictation lets you use speech-to-text to author content in Microsoft 365 with a microphone and reliable internet connection. It's a quick and easy way to get your thoughts out, create drafts or outlines, and capture notes.
To use the Dictate function, youmust be signed into Microsoft 365 and have a microphone.
- Open a new or existing email or document.
- Click Dictate In Word it's on the Home menu, while in Outlook it's on the Message menu. while signed into Microsoft 365 on a mic-enabled device.
- Wait for the Dictate button to turn on and start listening.
- Start speaking. The text appear on the screen.
